Ryder Brown

"I love that you get cold when it's 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible" - When Harry Met Sally.

I would just like to state that if I were only allowed to watch 5 movies for the rest of my life, that movie would CERTAINLY be on the list!

Its been a month and MAN have I missed you! =D My life has been pretty much the same, work, workout, and DIY craziness. Today, I'll post about Ryder. He is the 10 month son of one of my best friends and had open heart surgery last week. Ryder's parents, Erin and Tate, knew before he was born that at some point he would need to have surgery to repair a hole in his heart and possibly another surgery to repair other portions of his heart. Little R held on until 10 months without needing the surgery, but October 3 was his big day. Because we girls love to plan a party, its always nice to get together with friends, and a happy occasion is WAY better than focusing on surgery...we had the Pulmonary PowWow! While Erin planned food and the guest list with her family, Melanie and I went to town on DIY projects to use as decorations. Long story short? The Pulmonary Pow Wow was a huge success and even more importantly so was surgery the next day!! That handsome little fella made it through quickly and with everything going as well as it could. I spent that day with family and friends in the hospital and got to see sweet Ryder post surgery. His mom let me know tonight that he's healing really well. He's SO stinkin' cute!!!

Next up? My bday this weekend as well as my 10 year high school reunion, the state fair at some point, Clemson, SC for the UNC/Clemson game....crazy time! I'll try to keep up with pics!!!
